Help reunite hundreds of deported parents featured image

Help reunite hundreds of deported parents.

In January of 2020, nine parents reunited with their children after enduring the trauma of separation under the Trump Administration.

They are nine out of hundreds of parents who’ve been torn from their children and then deported.

Join us in calling for the Biden Administration to commit to bringing back all parents who were deported so they can reunite with their loved ones in the U.S. and pursue their asylum claims.

Help reunite hundreds of deported parents.

Hundreds of migrant families have suffered the traumas of separation by our cruel immigration system, but still too few of them have experienced the joy and relief of reunification.

In January of 2020, nine parents who had been deported by the Trump administration were brought back to the U.S. to reunite with their children. They are nine out of hundreds of parents who have experienced the unique horrors of being torn apart from their families.

While the traumas of separation cannot be reversed, they can and must be rectified.

The Biden Administration has committed to several actions to address the harmful policies enacted under its predecessor, but it remains unclear which protections of documentation status, if any, they will extend to reunified families. It also remains unclear if they will offer special permissions for deported parents to return to the U.S. to reunite with their children here.

This is not enough.

These children should not have to wait one extra day to see their parents again.

Our government must act with clear conviction to bring every parent who was deported back to the U.S. to resume their asylum claims.

We’ve seen how public pressure worked to end the cruel policy of family separation. Let’s use it again to advocate to reunite these families.
